The secret is out. Search engine giant, Google, and Bing have confirmed that social participation and social rank play an important role in their ranking algorithm.
SEO experts knew it. And so did the internet marketing folks. The disclosure only confirmed their belief that social media links were important for their clients website. Social ranks, authority of the user and the quality of the tweets have become popular buzzwords in the corridors of any internet marketing company.
So what are social links?
A typical example would be Twitter, one of the top three social networking and micro blogging platform. As a user, you need to build a powerful presence. In simple terms it means, you need to post tweets and create a chain of influential followers who tweet and re-tweet your content. This process is quite similar to building back links. Instead of building links you create content which is Liked and Tweeted.
